JN Fund Managers (JNFM) topped the brokerage community, winning the Investor Relations Award at the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE) Best Practices Awards on Thursday, December 5.
The company led the fourteen-member broker community, with JMMB Securities and Stocks & Securities Limited finishing jointly in second place. The Best Practices Awards aims to lift standards of service to the investment community by brokers and listed companies on the JSE.
“The Investor Relations Award is based on how a broker communicates with its clients,” said Professor Neville Ying. “You are looking at how the company interacts with and provides valuable information to investors, so that they can invest wisely.”
Professor Ying is the Chairman of the JSE’s awards selection committee.
Co-Host for the event, Dr. Nsombe Jaja, told the audience that, “The award recognises the member dealer who consistently exceeds customer expectations by providing excellent customer service.”
Jermaine Deans, Deputy General Manager, JN Fund Managers, who accepted the award on behalf of the company, explained that, “We look at best practises in client service worldwide and model JNFM’s service delivery on them. Our goal is to deliver at the best service level possible; and, it is satisfying that this is being recognised by the Jamaica Stock Exchange.”
“Good service is a team effort, and we pledge that we will continue working to improve our performance,” Mr Deans affirmed.
A member company of The Jamaica National Group, JN Fund Managers is a licensed securities broker and fund management company.
Awards were also presented in other categories, including: revenue generation; market activity; best website; best annual report and corporate governance.
The presentation ceremony was attended by hundreds of members from the Investment community, with Dr. Patricia Dunwell, Custos Rotulorum for the parish of St. Andrew, representing the Governor General.
